This historical garment was worn in Palestine in the 1800s, specifically in villages near Lyde and Ramlah. The open-front thobe, possibly sleeveless, with a dress worn beneath it, reflects the traditional clothing of that era. Over time, this style has evolved into the conventional dress we are more familiar with today.
